The Town of Namakagon in southern Bayfield County, Wisconsin is lightly populated, densely wooded, and a popular vacation destination in Northwest WI. The town forms around Lake Namakagon, a trophy muskie lake, and excellent for walleye, bass, northern pike, and pan fish. The forests here are far more populated with wildlife than people. Deer, black bear, fox, wild turkeys, grouse, and bald eagles are often seen, and the beautifully haunting call of the common loon is heard around the lake throughout the summer.
Namakagon is a vacationer’s and sportsman’s dream. Its residents live here for many of the same reasons that make it popular for tourists. Fishing, hunting, mountain biking, snowmobiling, skiing, boating, golf, you name it. We are home to many resorts, large and small, and your choice of beautiful and secluded vacation homes to rent year around. Visit once; return at least twice.
